KNUCKLEDRAGGER provides builder tools, APIs, and a showcase for developers. These terms govern your use of knuckledragger.com and its associated services.
Use the Tools
You can use our tools for any legal purpose. Commercial use is fine. No account is required for most features. We built these tools so people would use them.
API Usage
- Rate limits apply to all API endpoints. Current limits are documented in the API reference.
- Don't abuse the APIs. Automated requests are fine within rate limits; flooding is not.
- Don't use our APIs to build a competing product that simply resells our services. Build your own thing instead.
- API availability is best-effort. We aim for high uptime but provide no contractual uptime guarantee.
- We reserve the right to change API endpoints, rate limits, or availability at any time.
Showcase
If you submit a project to the showcase, you represent that you have the right to display the work. We do not claim ownership of your submissions. You grant us a license to display your submission on the showcase page for as long as you choose to keep it listed.
You can remove your showcase submissions at any time by contacting us. We will remove the listing within 48 hours of your request.
AI Feedback
The KNUCKLEDRAGGER AI personality provides code review and technical feedback. Savagery levels range from 1 (constructive) to 5 (brutal honesty). For full details, see consciousness-disclaimer.html.
AI feedback is opinion, not gospel. It is generated by language models and may contain errors, biases, or suggestions that don't apply to your specific context. We are not liable for decisions you make based on AI suggestions. Use your own judgment.
Intellectual Property
KNUCKLEDRAGGER tools, APIs, documentation, and branding are ours. Your code is yours. We do not claim any rights to code you submit for review, projects you build with our tools, or content you create using our services.
The open-source components we use are subject to their respective licenses.
No Warranty
Tools are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. No guarantee of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. It's free. Adjust expectations accordingly.
Limitation of Liability
Maximum liability = $0. This is a free service. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of KNUCKLEDRAGGER tools or services.
This includes but is not limited to: lost profits, data loss, service interruptions, or decisions made based on AI-generated output.
Don't Be Evil
- No using our tools to create or distribute malware
- No attacking our infrastructure (pen testing without permission is attacking)
- No impersonating others on the showcase
- No submitting content that violates applicable laws
- No using our APIs to spam, harass, or conduct fraud
Termination
We can restrict or terminate access for abuse, at our sole discretion. You can stop using us at any time — no cancellation process needed because there's nothing to cancel.
If we restrict your access, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you with the reason, unless doing so would compromise security.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
